Description
58-68 Mill Road is a terrace of six houses built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of brick, with Nos. 58-62 made of grey Gault brick, Nos. 64 and 66 of yellow stock brick, and No. 68 painted. They feature a hipped slate roof with seven chimneys. The terrace is two storeys high and has a six-window range, with No. 68 having a return elevation to the south. Each house has a sash window on each floor, mostly with 16 panes; however, No. 64 has one vertical glazing bar, and the windows of No. 62 are 20th century and made of aluminium. All houses except No. 68 have semicircular-arched doorways, and No. 60 retains its original door with two moulded panels over two flush panels. No. 68 features a doorcase with a hood, panelled pilasters, a three-light rectangular fanlight, and a door with two glazed panels over two flush panels. There is a central access passage leading to the rear gardens. The south flank elevation of No. 68 has one 16-pane sash window above a smaller sash window and a square bay window. The interior has not been inspected.
