Description
The Dormer Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the north side of Mulberry Green. It features a double range framed in timber, which is now roughcast and painted. The front roof is hipped and covered with peg tiles, adorned with lead bonnets and coved eaves. The rear range has a ridged and gabled roof with two red brick chimney stacks situated in the valley between the ranges.
The house has three pedimented dormers that contain small-paned casements, along with three small-paned sash windows in exposed boxes on the first floor. Additionally, there are two semi-hexagonal bay windows with flat tops and Edwardian glazing bars. Below these is a fielded panel door-leaf set in a wooden case, which is topped with a pediment and consoles.
