Description

The donkey sculpture, created in 1955 by Willi Soukop, is located on the green next to 5 Pittman’s Field in Mark Hall South, Harlow. Standing approximately 90 centimeters tall, this semi-figurative bronze sculpture is positioned on a bronze platform and a base made of concrete paving stones. The donkey has its head bowed, featuring large eyes, incised nostrils, erect ears, and a pronounced, stylised mane. While the sculpture has a green patina, the back and ears have been worn to a polished finish.
