Description
This is an early 19th-century farmhouse located in North Weald Bassett. The house is constructed of gault brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a slate roof. It has a square plan and features two internal chimneys positioned symmetrically near the front, with one near the back. The house is two stories high. The central doorway is topped with a cast iron ornamental fanlight within a recessed half-round arch. Flanking the door are double-hung sash windows with 12 lights each, set under flat arches of gauged brickwork, creating a symmetrical facade. There are three similar windows on the first floor. All windows date to the early 19th century. The roof has a shallow pitch and is fully hipped. The rear elevation has been roughcast. Later alterations have affected some of the windows.
