Description
The entrance gateway to Arabin House, dating from around 1800, is located on Manor Road in High Beech. It features four piers, consisting of two main piers and two secondary piers, with linking walls connecting to the main piers. The structure is made of stucco on brick and has a simple entablature. The principal pair of piers are topped with blocking courses that have small couchant lions, while the minor pair has pyramidal blocking courses. This gateway is included for its group value, as it forms part of a collection with Arabin House and its ancillary buildings.
