Description

The coach house and stable block, located approximately 60 meters north of Durrington Hall, dates from around 1800. One end has been converted into a cottage in the 20th century. The building features brickwork that is partly rendered and has slate roofs. It is aligned approximately northeast to southwest, with a central vehicle entrance on the southeast side, topped with a triangular open pediment. The roof has a shallow pitch and is hipped.

The southwest end has been converted into a two-storey cottage, which includes an internal chimney stack in the southwest wall and a pyramidal roof with a shallow pitch. The original brickwork on the southeast elevation is made of gault bricks arranged in Flemish bond, while the northwest and northeast elevations are constructed of red bricks in English bond, featuring ten plain pilasters on the northwest side and three on the northeast side. The southwest and southeast elevations of the cottage are covered with later brickwork, with smooth plaster up to the first floor level and roughcast render above.

To the northeast of the vehicle entrance, there is a plain boarded door with a louvre above it, along with two 20th-century cross windows that have four fixed lights each, complete with flat brick arches above. A central square clock tower was originally topped with a cupola, which was dismantled when the building was inspected in March 1983. The cottage has a glazed door and two casement windows on each floor, all dating from the 20th century.
