Description
The Post Office is a house dating from the 17th century, with extensions added in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame that is plastered and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The building consists of four bays aligned approximately northeast to southwest, with the main aspect facing southeast. There is an axial chimney stack located in the second bay from the northeast end and an external chimney stack at the southwest end. At the rear, there are extensions from the 19th century.
At the northeast end, there is a long single-storey extension that reaches to the road, serving as the shop and Post Office. This extension is clad with weatherboards and has a low-pitched slate roof. The building is two storeys high. On the ground floor, there is a central semi-octagonal glazed porch from the 20th century, with one 20th-century casement window to the southwest of it, while the rest of the ground floor is covered by the shop extension. The first floor features three 20th-century casement windows. A band of convex moulded plaster runs below the eaves along the entire length of the front.
