Description

This is a late 18th-century house located in Norton Heath, High Ongar. It is constructed with a timber frame and plaster, with a facade of red brick topped by a parapet. The roof is covered in grey slate. The house has a double-range plan and two storeys, including cellars. It has a five-window front featuring early 19th-century vertical sliding sash windows. Original red brick chimney stacks are at each end. The central doorway is distinguished by a semi-circular arch with a keystone, a recessed door, and a semi-circular fanlight.
