Description
The White Horse Inn is a public house dating from the mid-17th century, with extensions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure topped with a red plain tile roof that is half hipped at the east end. The building stands two storeys tall and has a three-window range of 19th-century vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. A small gabled porch is present at the front. To the west end, there is an 18th-century single-storey extension with a grey slate roof, which also has a two-window range of 19th-century vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. Additionally, there is a lower, single-storey range from the 19th century and a lean-to at the rear. A former bakehouse with weatherboarded walls and a red tile roof is incorporated at the back of the property. Inside, the original frame is exposed, and there are 18th-century King posts visible.
