Description

Salcott Post Office and Post Office Stores is a 17th-century building that features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a hipped roof made of red plain tiles. The structure is two storeys high and has a rectangular plan consisting of three bays plus a chimney bay. The first floor has three double-hung vertical sliding sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor has modern casements. The original chimney stack has been rebuilt at the top. At the west end, there is a single-storey extension from the 18th century, which has a peg-tiled gable roof and includes modern casements and leaded lights.
