Description

Grove Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is a long, timber-framed building with plaster infill, covered by a steep-pitched, gabled roof that is thatched. There are two red-brick chimneys along the ridge and three gabled dormers facing the road, each with casement windows beneath hoodmoulds, likely dating from the 19th century. The ground floor has a door, three casement windows, another door, a modern casement window, and a final door, reading from left to right. Two of the doors are protected by modern porches. The ground-floor windows also have 19th-century hoodmoulds. The three doors each have two gothic panels.
