Description

No. 197 Lexden Road is a picturesque 16th-century house located opposite the churchyard. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring a timber-framed and plastered structure with tiled roofs. It includes one gabled dormer and cross wings on the east and west sides. The upper storey projects on the south front of the west cross wing, and the gable also projects. There is a central chimney stack with four octagonal shafts that have been rebuilt. The house has undergone some restoration and has modern windows, along with bargeboards on the gable.
