Description
The Church of All Saints is a Grade I listed parish church located in Great Horkesley. The west tower dates from the 15th century, while the nave originates from the 12th century and features north and south aisles, along with a chancel that includes a north chapel, also from the 15th century. Both the nave and chancel are adorned with stone finial crosses at their east gables. The nave has a steeply pitched leaded roof, while the chancel is covered with peg tiles, and the south aisle has a parapet. The south porch, made of timber, was restored in 1918. The church walls are largely rendered, but some details of the perpendicular style are visible, including the use of fleurons from the early 15th century. The porch has a peg-tiled roof, and the west tower features Y tracery at the ground level and cinquefoil bell openings. There is also a modern lych gate, built around 1901, which is oak framed and has a clay tile roof.
