Description
Maltings Farmhouse is a building dating from around 1600, with earlier and later additions. It features a timber-framed range on the west front, which is plastered along the street, and a painted brick range that runs parallel at the rear. The roofs are ridged and gabled with a valley between, covered with peg tiles, and there is a red brick chimney stack on each range. The west front has coved eaves and troughing, with a rebuilt chimney located centrally on the ridge. The first storey includes a range of three leaded casements, with two mullions and one transom in the center, and one mullion and one transom on the side. The ground storey has sets of three 8-pane casements on the left and right, with a small modern 5-pane window at the center.
