Description

Maltings Farmhouse is a 17th century and earlier house that stands two storeys high with attics. It features a long range that is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a peg-tiled roof that has gables. At the rear, there are two gabled wings. The front elevation has three pairs of small paned, hornless sash windows on the first storey, and an angled bay window with a slated roof on the east gable, which has an attic casement window above it. There is a red brick chimney that is off-centre and positioned to the right. On the ground storey, there are three matching sash windows and a front door that has a casement and a flat hood above it. Each roof slope has double side-purlins.
