Description

Tiptree Hall was built in 1843 by John Joseph Mechi as part of a planned farming unit. The building is constructed of stuccoed brick and features a grey slate hipped roof. It is two storeys high with a parapet wall and has a four-window range with double hung vertical sliding sashes, each with labels above. A Tuscan portico supported by four detached columns adds to its architectural appeal. The hall has a square plan, and while the rear wing contains part of the original offices, most of the rest of the 1843 scheme has been demolished.
