Description
The Three Crowns is a former inn located on High Street in East Donyland. It dates back to the 16th century or earlier and features a crosswing that is timber framed and plastered, with a gable facing the street. The building was originally jettied but is now underbuilt in red brick. The ground floor has a range of two modern casement windows, while the upper floor features a single window range with double hung vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars. There is a single-storey wing to the south that has a gabled dormer. Additionally, there is a two-storey extension from the 18th century, which is also timber framed and plastered, featuring a central door and a red brick chimney stack at one end. This extension has a range of two double hung vertical sliding sash windows. The roofs are covered with red plain tiles and grey slates.
