Description

Kyrtles Cottage is a late 15th or early 19th century brick house, now with a colourwashed exterior. It is a two-storey, two-window range building with double-hung sash windows featuring glazing bars, set within flush cased frames. The front door is a six-panel design, set within deep reveals and a doorcase featuring an architrave and a cornice hood supported by brackets. A raised brick band runs horizontally between the ground and first floors. The roof is covered in red tiles, with a half-hipped design at both the east and west ends. Kyrtles Cottage forms a group with numbers 24 and 24A, number 28 (Hill House), Adam’s Cottage, number 1 (Myra Cottage), number 3 (Blacksmiths Cottage), and number 5 (Holly Cottage).
