Description
Ward's Farmhouse is a timber-framed and plastered house originating from the 16th century, featuring cross wings at both the north and south ends with plastered gables. The building was refaced in red brick during the 18th and 19th centuries. It stands two storeys tall, with a five-window range on the east front and a two-window range on the south side, showcasing double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in plain reveals. The first storey on the south side is plastered, and a raised brick band runs between the storeys on the east front. The roof is tiled, and there is an original central chimney stack with grouped diagonal shafts. Additionally, the remains of a moat can be found around the property.
