Description
The Crown Inn is an 18th century timber-framed and plastered building that has undergone considerable alterations. It stands two storeys high with attics and features a four-window range with 20th century casements that include glazing bars. The doors are also from the 20th century. The roof is tiled and half hipped, adorned with a coved plaster eaves cornice and three gabled dormers. The Crown Inn is part of a group that includes the Church of St Andrew, Sandon Place, and several other buildings such as the outbuilding at Sandon Place Rectory Road, The Forge, the Post Office, and a cottage located east of the Post Office on Woodhill Road.
