Description

The Anchor Public House is a late 16th century or early 17th century timber-framed and plastered building that stands two stories tall. The ground floor has been extended with a flat roof. It features a four-window range of modern sash windows. There are two front doors, one of which is blocked, while the other has a flat hood supported by brackets. The roof is covered with peg tiles and is hipped at the return. At the north end, there is a long rear wing and three chimney stacks. The building showcases heavy oak framing.
