II GV 2. A C17 timber-framed and plastered house, refronted in the Cl8 and renovated in the C20. 2 storeys and attics. 3 window range, casements with glazing bars. The doorway has a C20 doorcase in Cl8 style with pilasters and pediment. Roof tiled, with 2 gabled dormers. The interior has exposed framing, ceiling beams and joists.

Rails Farmhouse and The Windmill Inn with The Post Office and The Old Forge form a group (The Post Office is a building of local interest).
