Description

Kings Head Farm is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with a 19th-century outshot that was raised and altered in the 20th century, including changes to the windows and the addition of a wooden extension. The building is timber-framed and has been refaced in render. It features a tiled gambrel roof with a chimney stack on the right side and another axial stack at the rear. The farmhouse has one storey and an attic, with two windows and penticed dormers. The 20th-century casement windows are present, while the original front door, which has a hood and brackets, is a four-panelled door. At the rear, there is a brick and weatherboarded outshot, but the original external wall with diagonal braces remains intact behind it, along with the original back door.

Inside, the structure retains its frame with an axial beam that has a one-inch chamfer and lambs tongue stop. There is a cupboard beside the fireplace with a plank door, and a two-panelled door with H-hinges that leads to a winder staircase. The first floor features old floorboards, although the roof has been boarded in, and there is also a plank door.
