Description

Barn. Built in the early 17th century, it is a timber-framed structure with weatherboard cladding and a half-hipped peg-tiled roof. The barn comprises six bays, with five bays forming the main barn area and one bay divided off as a stable. A partial outshut is located at the west end of the south side.

Inside, the walls feature slightly curved primary braces. The roof has joggled side purlins, raking queen struts, and curved wind braces. The outshut has a rebuilt roof, but the outer wall construction remains largely original, incorporating a small window with a diamond mullion bar. The barn is part of a group with Waterhales Farmhouse.
