Description
The orangery and garden wall at Kelvedon Hall date from the 18th century. They are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond. The wall is shaped down from the house and features shaped coping bricks, extending southeast from the southeast wing of the house. The orangery is attached and is also made of red brick. It is a small, single-storey rectangular structure with a flat roof and a simple parapet. The south front has four tall sash windows with glazing bars, each with four panes. The west front has a similar window and a 20th-century door with two flush panels and upper glazing with three panes. The garden wall continues to partly enclose a 20th-century swimming pool. The orangery and garden wall, along with Kelvedon Hall, the Lodge, and the stable block, form a group.
