Description
This boundary wall, dating from the 18th century, is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond. It runs from the northeast corner of the Church of St Laurence to the gateway at the southwest corner of Jericho, dividing the garden of Jericho Priory from the churchyard. The wall is approximately 4 meters high at its tallest point, reducing to about 3 meters at the gateway. On the east side, there are buttresses at intervals of approximately 4 meters, each featuring one roll moulding of moulded brick at half-height and tumbled courses at two reductions. The wall has a plain coping made of bricks laid on edge and measures approximately 30 meters in length.
