Description

The White House is a late 15th-century timber-framed building situated on the north-west side of High Street. It has a white-painted brick front with a parapet and a modillioned wooden cornice. The facade is arranged with a three-window range across two storeys, flanking a central doorway. Modern sash windows are present throughout. A Venetian window is positioned above the central doorway. The arched doorway leads up steps with an iron handrail and a Tuscan porch. The roof is covered in grey slate and red plain tiles.
