Description

Bosworths Tearooms and Finchingfield Antiques Centre is a former house that dates back to the 17th century or earlier, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is timber framed, plastered, and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The main range consists of three bays facing south, featuring a stack in the middle bay behind the ridge. To the left, there is a crosswing with four bays that extends both forwards and backwards, creating a T-shaped plan. A single-storey flat-roofed extension from the 20th century is located to the left of the main structure. The main range has two storeys and attics, while the crosswing has one storey and an attic.

On the ground floor, there are former shop windows and two square bays from the 20th century. The first floor features four 20th-century casement windows, and in the attic, there is an additional casement window in a slated swept dormer, along with two 20th-century doors. The gable of the crosswing is adorned with 19th-century fretted bargeboards. The building also has four octagonal shafts that have been rebuilt.
