Description

This barn, located approximately 40 metres north-west of Great Slampseys, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, sitting on a red brick plinth. The roof is covered with red plain tiles, while the front gabled midstrey has a corrugated asbestos clad roof. There is also a midstrey at the rear. The barn features five bays, with through bracing to the walls and hanging knees to the tie beams. It has a side purlin roof and is considered a good example of its type.
