Description
This is a wall located approximately 8 metres south-west and 5 metres south-east of The Tudor House. It dates from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The wall is constructed of red brick in English bond and Flemish stretcher bond, with the 18th-century alterations in Flemish bond. It forms the south-west boundary between The Manor House and Church Green for about 17 metres, then turns north-east. The first 7 metres of this section are from the 18th century, followed by the original wall which continues north-east for an additional 24 metres. There is one gateway to the south-west of the house and another to the south-east. The wall stands approximately one metre high and is 0.33 metres thick, with the brick coping having been renewed. It is depicted on an estate map by John Walker from 1597 and is included for its group value.
