Description

The Bird in Hand is a public house, dating originally from the 17th century. It is a two-storey timber-framed building which was subsequently plastered and given a red plain tile roof. The building was altered during the 19th century and now has modern weatherboarding on the exterior. It features vertical sliding sash windows, also modern. Some of the original timber framing remains visible inside the building, and there is the base of an original chimney stack present.
