Description

The Rectory is a house likely dating from the 17th century, significantly altered in the 18th century to create a rectangular plan, with later additions and alterations. It is timber framed and has a rough rendered exterior. The roof is half-hipped and covered in red plain tiles, with red brick chimney stacks on the left, right, and external right sides of the building. The house is two storeys high, with a single-storey lean-to addition to the right. A parapet with a modillion cornice is present. The first floor has three small paned vertically sliding sash windows with moulded surrounds. The ground floor features small paned French doors with internal and external shutters, and a central six-panel door with two upper panels, plain pilasters, a rusticated frieze, and a moulded pediment. All entrances are approached by steps.
