Description

This property comprises a group of attached cottages constructed in the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. The cottages are timber framed and feature panel pargetting. The front portion has a grey slate roof, while the rear section to the left has a red plain tile roof. A gabled crosswing and a single-storey range to the right also feature red plain tiles. Two red and gault brick chimney stacks are present on the left-hand range, which has projecting eaves and brackets adorned with moulded finials. A tall plastered chimney stack rises from the right-hand range. The cottages are two storeys in height, except for the single-storey range on the right. The left range has a 3-window frontage on the first floor and a 3-window, 2-bay frontage on the ground floor, with small-paned vertically sliding sash windows. The right range incorporates 20th-century casement windows. A six-panel door is located in the centre of the left range, and a two-light, two-panel door sits in the centre of the right range.
