Description

The Plough is a public house with origins dating back to the 17th century, featuring later additions and alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and has rough rendering on the exterior. The roof is covered with red plain tiles, and there are red brick chimney stacks on both the left and right sides. The building has two storeys and a two-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, each with pentice boards above. A central gabled enclosed porch contains a 20th-century door. To the right, there is a 20th-century flat roof extension. The Plough has group value with the nearby Westbourn and Plough cottages and Green Acres.
