Description

This is a cottage dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a thatched roof that is hipped to the left. A single-storey addition, plastered and with a red plain tiled roof, was added in the 20th century, and includes a door and casement window on its left side. The cottage has two storeys and a two-window front, featuring 20th-century casement windows with small panes, including a bow window on the ground floor left. A central gabled porch contains a vertically boarded door. The central chimney stack is red brick and features original back-to-back fireplaces with mantel beams above. An 18th-century staircase wraps around the chimney piece. Several 18th-century internal doors remain. The walls have through bracing.
