Description
Borley Hall is a house dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. It is constructed with a timber frame and plaster, featuring some red brick cladding and red plain tile roofs. The building has two storeys, along with a one-storey section and attics, arranged in a T-shaped plan. The original open hall range is located at the rear, while the front range includes a crosswing that jetties to the east and a 16th-century extension with a long wall jettied to the south.
The north front has a three-window range with 19th-century vertical sliding sashes and a 20th-century porch topped with a hipped red plain tile roof. An early 16th-century red brick chimney stack with two octagonal shafts is present, along with a 16th-century inserted red brick chimney stack on the rear wing and a 19th-century red brick chimney on the east side. The rear wing features two gabled dormers and two 19th-century casement windows. The original timber frame is still visible inside the building.
