Description

Borley Mill is a watermill dating from the mid-18th century. It is timber-framed and clad in weatherboards, with a red plain tile roof. The three-storey main block has a three-window front, featuring 18th and 20th century vertical sliding sash windows with glazing bars. A gabled lucombe is supported by arched elements, alongside a vertical sliding sash window with glazing bars. A red brick plinth runs along the base. A small, single-storey lean-to extension is situated on the right-hand side, with a vertical sliding sash window and glazing bars. A rear wing consists of two parallel ranges projecting to the southwest, also timber-framed and weatherboarded with a red plain tile roof. Late 19th century vertical sliding sash windows are present, along with a red brick stack.
