Description
The Green Man Public House is a public house that dates back to the 15th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure, topped with red plain tiled roofs. The building has gabled crosswings on the left, a gabled dormer in the central range, and a hipped crosswing on the right. There are three red brick chimney stacks. The crosswings are two storeys high, while the central range is one storey with an attic. A single storey 20th-century lean-to extension has been added to the left and centre. The right crosswing has been extended at ground level with a bay window above. The building has a window arrangement of 1:1:1, featuring various three-light vertically sliding sashes and casements, along with double glazed doors to the left. Originally, it was an open hall house with a crosswing, which includes a 16th-century crosswing and later rear ranges. Inside, the exposed frame showcases stop-chamfered beams.
