Description

Little Cottage is an extension from the 18th century of an early 16th-century long-jetty house, now functioning as a separate cottage. The building is timber framed, plastered, and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. An additional bay was added at the southeast end, which now includes The Nook and Oak Cottage, with connecting doorways on both floors that are now blocked, and an internal chimney stack at the southeast end. There is a 20th-century extension at the rear. The southwest elevation features a 20th-century glazed door, one 20th-century casement window on each floor, and a conservatory or porch that encloses the door and a lower window. Inside, the cottage has exposed framing and a ridged roof. It is included for group value with The Nook and Oak Cottage.
