Old Timbers is a house, now divided into two cottages, dating from the 18th century and altered in the 19th century. It is timber-framed with plaster infill and has a roof of handmade red plain tiles. The building has a square plan facing southeast, with an internal stack behind its main axis. It is two storeys high with attics. The left-hand side, Old Timbers, has, on the ground floor, a 4 + 8-light sash window from the early 19th century. The first floor has a 19th-century casement window, and a 19th or 20th-century casement window within a gabled dormer window. There is a 20th-century door with a simple canopy. The right-hand side, No. 23, has a splayed bay of 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor, a 19th-century casement window on the first floor, and a 19th-century casement window within a gabled dormer. It has a half-glazed door with a simple canopy. The roof has a gambrel shape. The building is included on the list for its group value.
