Description
Roslyns is a house from the 17th century that has been altered in the 20th century. It is timber framed, mostly covered with plaster, and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The house has four bays aligned from northwest to southeast, with a northeast aspect, and features an axial chimney stack located in the second bay from the northwest, which creates a lobby entrance. There is a rear chimney stack and a rear wing, both added in the 20th century. The front has a boarded door beneath a tiled gabled porch, and there are three 20th-century casement windows on each floor. The gables are weatherboarded, and the interior includes plain-chamfered axial beams and two large wood-burning hearths.
