Description
Krikseys is a house dating from the early 17th century or earlier. It has a timber frame, is plastered, and features a thatched roof. The building consists of four bays arranged in a northeast-southwest alignment, with the main aspect facing northwest. A chimney stack is located against the rear wall, creating a lobby entrance. There is a single-storey extension to the southwest, which is from the 20th century. The house is single-storey with attics and includes a 20th-century door, four 20th-century casement windows, and one 19th-century casement window in a swept dormer. Inside, the northeast end has a plain-chamfered axial beam with lamb's tongue stops and plain joists of horizontal section. The southwest end features a plain-chamfered axial beam with joists of thinner section. There are two large wood-burning hearths made of 33-centimeter brickwork, which are original to the building.
