Description
The Kyles is a late 17th-century cottage, originally built as a pair of cottages. It is timber-framed with a tarred brick plinth. The building has a red brick ridge stack and a thatched roof, which is half-hipped. It is one storey high with attics. An outshut is located to the right-hand side of the north elevation. There are two casement windows, and the main entrance is on the south elevation. The interior comprises two ground floor rooms in each of the original cottages and features exposed timber framing, floor frames, a side purlin roof, and original hearths.
