Description

The base of a churchyard cross, dating from the 12th or 13th century, is located by the north wall of the north aisle. It is made of Barnack limestone and features a tapering stop-chamfered shaft with a plinth. The round head of the cross is pierced at each quadrant, but it was broken from the shaft around 1955 and is currently missing. This cross base is set to be moved and repositioned north of the vestry.
