Description

The Old Smithy is a cottage, likely dating from the 18th century. It is timber-framed and has roughcast rendering and painted brickwork. The roof is thatched, with a half-hipped design. A slate roof covers a lean-to addition, and a 20th-century painted brick and red pantile porch provides an entrance. The cottage is two storeys high. A tall ridge stack has been rebuilt. Two first-floor and two ground-floor horizontal sliding sash windows are present. A boarded door, with side lights, leads to the porch.
