Description

The barn at Church Farm is a late medieval structure that features a timber frame and is weatherboarded. Its original roof is half-hipped but is currently covered with corrugated iron. The barn is aisled and consists of five bays, with a porch opening on the east side, which also has a half-hipped roof. Inside, there are braced tie beams and a through purl in the roof supported by arch braces. There is also evidence of passing braces from the wall posts to the tie beams, which may be original or reused.
