Description
The Village Hall is a non-conformist chapel that was built in 1845, as indicated by a dated panel on the front. It is constructed of gault brick in English bond and features a low-pitched slate roof with a plain eaves cornice. The building has two stages and a pedimented gable end facing the road. The front includes a rectangular recessed panel with a stuccoed date panel, below which are three doorways arranged symmetrically. The central doorway is larger and has a moulded Ketton stone surround with an entablature, while the flanking doorways have only Ketton entablatures. The side elevations consist of five window bays, with segmental arches above recessed small pane windows that have iron glazing bars. Inside, there is a gallery on three sides with a panelled parapet, supported by cast iron columns with foliated capitals.
