Description
Nos. 20 and 22 Church Street are two houses dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century. They are timber framed and plastered, topped with slate and tile roofs. Each house is two storeys high and is aligned separately to follow the curve of the street. Both buildings feature continuous jetties, with No. 20 displaying curved jetty brackets. There are three windows on the first floor and three on the ground floor, which include horizontal sliding sashes. The properties have one boarded door and one half-glazed door, along with a plastered plinth. A large local brick stack is located at the rear, with a side stack on the south gable. Inside, there is a stud partition on the north side and a cased arched brace beneath the tie beam.
