Description

Melcam is a cottage located on Mortlock Street in Melbourn, dating from the 18th or 19th century. It features a timber frame that is roughcast rendered and has a long straw thatched roof, topped with a single flue grey brick ridge stack. The cottage has a single range plan with an entry now located in a lean-to porch on the right side. It is one storey high with an attic and includes two dormers. The windows are two, three-light sub-modern casements. There is a single storey addition on the left side, which is likely from the early 19th century, framed, rendered, and covered with red pantiles.
