Description

The Maltings is a house that was likely a store or warehouse connected to the Manor House, dating from the 17th century. It features an exposed timber frame on a plinth that has been rendered, topped with a tiled roof. The building has three bays and stands two storeys tall. Most of the openings were altered in the mid to late 20th century, including a carriageway at the north end. The timber framing consists of fairly substantial but irregular scantling and long shallow wall bracing. Originally, the building was weatherboarded and has a small 19th-century ridge stack.
